What about a registry by location?
On the main page it could be called Member Registry By Location (or something similar). Of course it wouldn't be expected that the admins here list every state (I know it's world wide not just US) but members could start a post like this...
"Official Washington State Member Registry"
Inside the thread members who are from WA that choose to say where they are could post is hopes to meet other BT doods in their area.
It would be cool to find others on BT who live near me that could get together for wrench nights etc.
